I can hardly believe it’s almost Christmas! And Christmas time means Christmas shopping overwhelm. But friends, this year I’ve done some of the heavy lifting for you with the 2020 Simply Spaced Gift Guide, a cheat sheet for gifting with a little less overwhelm and a little more joy.
I thought it would be fun to round up some of my favorite finds from 2020, since I am all about making your life simpler.
I don’t like to shop for shopping’s sake, but I do love to gift with intention. For me, gifting is an expression of gratitude. And I really love to show my gratitude with an extra special gift that says I care. So, I’m always on the lookout for that one, oh so special version of “the thing.” This year, I think I nailed it with some tried and true treasures.
So, here’s to spreading a little joy, with a little gifted love this holiday!
These are a few of my favorite things:
1) FOR THE COOK
Nothing says made for Monica than an easy to clean, eco-friendly, pretty as all getup setup. Ditch the chemicals with Caraway’s ceramic-coated cookware that comes with its own organization system for pots and lids. Although this set was a no brainer for me, I’m not the real cook in casa Fierson. More than just eye candy, it’s amateur chef, hubby Jeff approved.
2) FOR THE MINIMALIST
If you’re in the market for that perfect gift for that perfectly minimal friend, I love the classic diamonds line necklace by Mejuri. With 14 k gold and diamonds, this timeless gift will make even the most low-key friend feel extra special.
3) FOR THE SENTIMENTALIST
2020 has been a year of pivots. To keep up with the times, we launched an incredible line of archival quality photo and memento boxes on our site this year. We’re overjoyed by the stories we’ve received about all photo organizing projects happening in homes around the world. This just might be the perfect gift for that special someone who’s ready to get their photos and mementos organized once and for all. Warning: May cause tears of joy!
4) FOR THE SELF-CARE JUNKY
Bath time is the best time, as they say. Or, maybe that’s just me. Nonetheless, anything that makes my EOD ritual better is a win in my book. I love to gift bath salts and bath products around the holidays, because who can’t use a little R & R? MADE by DWC is a purpose-driven shop to support LA’s downtown women’s center, fighting to end homelessness and empower women. Double duty gifting? Done.
5) FOR THE PHOTO LOVER
One of my favorite discoveries in 2020 was the company Fracture who makes beautiful photo prints on glass. This year, I’m looking forward to finally getting pictures off my phone and onto the wall. I’ll be gifting some of the standouts to friends and family for a super special and personal gift.
6) FOR THE HYGGE ENTHUSIAST
Nothing says cozy like the perfect cuddle up. Like most of my favorites from Jenni Kayne, the alpaca basketweave throw is all things hygge. Want to impress without the stress? Just add cocoa.
7) FOR THE CLEAN BEAUTY BAE
2021 will definitely be the year I go clean with all my beauty products. This year, I’ve kissed a lot of clean beauty frogs, but I found the magic in all things Saie. I’ll definitely be gifting my favorite finds to my nieces to prove that you don’t have to compromise quality by going clean. I am totally obsessed with this high-performing product line, that comes in sustainable packaging and looks and feels like a dream.
8) FOR THE LADY LOUNGER
Look, 2020 has shown us that comfy bottoms matter. Run of the mill loungewear just doesn’t cut it these days. That’s why I had to include Lunya in the Simply Spaced Gift Guide this year, and plan to gift from the Restore collection, my absolute favorite PJs. If it’s possible to combine sexy, comfortable clothing into the sleepwear you actually love to wear, this is it.
9) FOR THE BATHER
Not everyone loves baths which will forever boggle my mind. But for those in my camp, who understand the importance of key ritual props like candles, bath salts, and a cozy robe to slip into are a must. Currently loving this lightweight, beautifully washable robe and towels by Parachute.
10) FOR THE ORGANIZER
In my humble opinion, it’s the gift that keeps on giving. Simply Spaced the book is my 2019 baby but includes all my best tips and tricks for staying organized through 2021 and beyond. Grab a copy for all the design and organization lovers in your life.
11) FOR THE PET LOVER
One of my favorite 2020 finds was the pet bowl tower by Yamazaki for my little Lady. Yamazaki carries some of my favorite organizational products that combine form and function into stylish everyday items that pass the test of time. Bonus? Say goodbye to cheap plastics and, hello to ceramic and steel.
12) FOR THE HEALTH NUT
Nothing says holidays like food and treats, but if you really want to knock their socks off, try gifting a cleanse instead. One of my absolute favorite resets is the 7-day Clean program, which combines ancient holistic healing and functional medicine for whole-body wellness.
I hope you enjoyed the Simply Spaced Gift Guide. Happy shopping and Happy Holidays from Simply Spaced!
